30 Jan Douglas & Gordon launches new style estate agency in Streatham
Leading London estate agency Douglas & Gordon, has launched a new ‘hybrid-style’ model to help you sell your property in Streatham, South West London.
To promote the new model, Douglas & Gordon are offering 100 Streatham homeowners the opportunity to sell their property commission-free on a first-come-first-served basis. The offer means someone who sells a £650,000 home through the agent could save up to £13,000 on estate agent fees.
Their dedicated property brokers will work remotely, seven days a week, at convenient times and are backed up by a network of 15 offices around Central, West and South West London. With no agency offices clogging up Streatham High Road, the remote Douglas & Gordon brokers aren’t bound to standard office hours and are much more flexible with how they support their clients than traditional estate agencies.
“Our promise to our customers is that they will get the best possible service and results. This model allows our brokers to give clients that service whenever they need it – be it an evening or a weekend.” – James Evans, CEO
Since it was founded in 1958, Douglas & Gordon has built a reputation as London’s most respected, innovative and trusted independent estate agent. Brokers Charlie Mitchell and Enna-Mae Assiter have a combined industry-experience of over 25-years and will handle the whole process for the client, from valuation to completion.
With property markets in places like Brixton and Dulwich now well established, demand is spreading to areas like Streatham and beyond. Based on Land Registry figures from 2006 – 2016, Douglas & Gordon firmly believes that SW16 is set to see strong house price growth throughout 2017. Homeowners in the area are already seeing unprecedented increases in property value and there has been an influx of trendy new cafes, restaurants and drinking establishments along what is believed to be the longest high street in Britain.
“There are plenty of estate agent’s offices already taking up prime spots on high streets, such as Streatham. We believe that residents would rather these spaces are freed up for local businesses like coffee shops, bars and restaurants or independent shops.” – James Evans, CEO
With a mix of late Victorian Arts and Crafts homes, large Edwardian houses and art deco mansion blocks, Streatham has recently been labelled by The Evening Standard as a “hotspot to watch”. Newly listed Streatham properties will appear on douglasandgordon.com from 9th February, and will range from one bedroom flats to large family homes.
Once established in Streatham, Douglas & Gordon plans to roll out the model to more locations in 2017, with further expansion through into 2018.
