01 Aug Whole Meal Cafe
If you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just a fan of healthy food, then you’re in luck. Whole Meal Cafe, which sits tucked away on Shrubbery Road just off Streatham High Road, does a great selection for all dietary requirements . Hearty pies that warm the soul, salads brimming with veggies and delicious vegan cakes are all on offer at this local cafe. And the best part is, it’s all homemade.
The cafe was opened in 1978 by Thai owner, Kim, who still works there now and cooks most of the food. You’ll get service with a smile and a chat, along with a range of customers. From regulars who have been coming for years, to families with small children, all making for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh and the hummus is amazing. Also highly recommended is their ‘world famous’ banoffee pie, which really lives up to its title.
Whole Meal Cafe will make you feel right at home and is one of Streatham’s hidden gems. Their menu is in constant rotation, so why not head down and see what veggie delights are on offer this week?
